John Szabo is a storyteller. After earning his BA at UC Irvine he graduated with an MFA from Indiana University then worked as a reporter at The Los Angeles Times and The San Francisco Chronicle. His film credits as a writer, actor, cinematographer and producer include PBS and IFC and his films have appeared in The Sundance, San Francisco, Berkeley and  Los Angeles Film Festivals. 

John has written polished 120 page Final Draft scripts but he has also for many years preferred writing, a detailed outline for his films, allowing actors to improvise.
